1. Scope and contact
This Privacy Policy explains how UniversalStreams ("UniversalStreams", "we", "us", or the "Service") processes information when the Discord bot is invited to, configured in, or used within a Discord server, and when this website is accessed.

UniversalStreams' primary service infrastructure is located in France and/or Finland. We aim to process only information reasonably necessary to provide stream notifications, maintain server-specific configurations, operate reliably, prevent abuse, secure the Service, and diagnose technical problems.
2. Information we may process
Discord server and configuration data
When administrators configure the bot, UniversalStreams may store information such as:
- Discord server (guild) identifiers;
- configured channel identifiers;
- configured role identifiers used for notification mentions;
- saved stream-notification settings and custom notification text;
- cleanup or message-handling preferences;
- identifiers for bot-created messages when needed to update, clean up, or otherwise manage those messages.
Streaming-platform data
For configured streamers, UniversalStreams may process and store platform-related information such as the selected platform, creator or streamer identifier, creator handle or username, live/offline state, and other stream metadata returned by the platform that is needed to determine notification status.
UniversalStreams currently uses Twitch for active stream monitoring. The bot does not require ordinary Discord members to sign in with Twitch or authorize their personal Twitch account through a user-facing OAuth flow.
Command and operational data
When the bot is used, Discord provides information necessary to process commands, such as the server, channel, command options, and the Discord account that invoked the interaction. UniversalStreams may temporarily process such information to execute the request, enforce Discord permissions, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures.
Technical logs may contain timestamps, Discord or platform identifiers, command or error context, and API-related diagnostic information. These logs are used for operation, security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
Website access data
When you access this website, the web server necessarily processes technical request data needed to deliver the pages and maintain security. Depending on the server configuration, this may include your IP address, date and time of access, requested page or file, referrer information, browser or user-agent information, and connection or error data.
This website is designed as a static site and does not itself use analytics, advertising trackers, or non-essential cookies. Hosting infrastructure may keep technical server logs for security, troubleshooting, and reliable operation.
3. Information we do not intentionally collect for the Service
UniversalStreams is not designed to collect the general contents of unrelated Discord conversations, private messages between users, passwords, payment-card information, or personal Twitch login credentials. The bot does not sell personal data.
4. Why we process information
Information is processed for the following purposes:
- to save and apply server-specific stream-notification configurations;
- to query supported streaming-platform APIs and determine whether configured streamers are live;
- to post, update, or clean up Discord notifications as configured;
- to provide command responses, lists, filtering, details, tests, and configuration management;
- to improve reliability, including protection against brief or unstable status changes;
- to secure, maintain, diagnose, and prevent abuse of the Service;
- to comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) applies, processing may rely on one or more of the following legal bases depending on the circumstances:
- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract or steps taken at your request, where applicable;
- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interests in operating, securing, maintaining, and improving UniversalStreams, preventing abuse, and providing a reliable service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests;
- Article 6(1)(c) GDPR — compliance with legal obligations, where processing is required by law;
- Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent, where consent is required and specifically requested.
6. Third parties and data sharing
UniversalStreams depends on third-party services to function. Data may be transmitted to or received from these services as necessary:
- Discord, for bot interactions, server configuration, permissions, and posting notifications;
- Twitch, for the current stream-status and creator information required for active Twitch monitoring;
- hosting and infrastructure providers in France and/or Finland, where data is stored or processed as part of operating the bot, its database, backups, or logs.
Those third parties process information under their own privacy policies, terms, and data-protection responsibilities. UniversalStreams does not sell personal data or share it for third-party advertising.
7. Data retention
Server configuration and stream records may be retained for as long as they are needed to provide the configured Service. Administrators can remove individual stream configurations using the bot's management commands.
Removing UniversalStreams from a Discord server does not necessarily guarantee immediate deletion of every residual server-specific record or backup. If deletion of remaining server-specific data is required, an authorized server representative may contact Mirntos Media.
Operational and security logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for maintenance, diagnostics, security, abuse prevention, backup, or legal purposes.
8. Data security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect stored information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no online service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Hosting locations and international transfers
UniversalStreams' primary service infrastructure is located in France and/or Finland. France and Finland are within the European Economic Area (EEA).
Discord, Twitch, and other service providers may process information in countries outside the EEA. Where a transfer subject to Chapter V GDPR occurs under our responsibility, an applicable lawful transfer mechanism will be used where required. Third-party providers also maintain their own international-transfer arrangements and privacy responsibilities.
10. Your data-protection rights
Depending on your location, the applicable law, and the legal basis used for processing, you may have rights relating to personal data, including rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
Because much of the information stored by UniversalStreams is server configuration identified by Discord IDs rather than a direct user profile, additional information may be required to verify that a requester is authorized to access or delete server-specific data.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority, including an authority in the EU Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or the alleged infringement.
11. Children's privacy
UniversalStreams is not directed at collecting personal information from children. Use of Discord and supported streaming platforms remains subject to the minimum-age and account requirements imposed by those services and applicable law.
12. Automated decision-making
UniversalStreams automatically evaluates stream-status information to decide whether a configured notification should be posted, updated, or handled as offline. This is operational automation and is not intended to produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the Service, its integrations, hosting arrangements, or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this website with an updated effective or last-updated date.
14. Privacy contact
Privacy questions, requests to exercise data-protection rights, deletion requests, or other data-protection enquiries can be sent to Mirntos Media via Discord: Mirntos or E-Mail: info@mirntosmedia.com.
