Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of UniversalStreams (the "Service"), a Discord bot that provides stream-notification and related configuration features. UniversalStreams is provided under the name Mirntos Media. By inviting, configuring, accessing, or using UniversalStreams, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you add or configure UniversalStreams for a Discord server, you represent that you have the authority or permission required to do so for that server.

2. The Service

UniversalStreams is designed to monitor supported third-party streaming platforms and post stream-status notifications in configured Discord locations. Features may include stream configuration, notification messages, role mentions, cleanup behavior, stream-status handling, filtering, pagination, and other related functions.

At the effective date of these Terms, Twitch is the active supported monitoring platform. References to additional platforms, including Kick or YouTube, may represent planned or in-development functionality and do not guarantee availability.

3. Third-party services

UniversalStreams depends on third-party services, including Discord and supported streaming platforms such as Twitch. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms, policies, rules, and technical limitations.

UniversalStreams is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord, Twitch, Kick, YouTube, or their respective owners unless expressly stated otherwise.

4. Permitted use

You may use UniversalStreams for lawful Discord server management and stream-notification purposes. You must not use the Service to:

• violate applicable law, regulation, or the rights of another person;
• violate Discord's rules or the rules of a connected streaming platform;
• harass, impersonate, deceive, threaten, or abuse others;
• send intentionally abusive, deceptive, malicious, or unlawful notification content;
• attempt to bypass access restrictions, permissions, rate limits, or security controls;
• probe, exploit, interfere with, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or damage the Service or its infrastructure, except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law;
• use automated means to abuse commands, APIs, or bot functionality beyond ordinary intended use.

5. Server configuration and permissions

Server administrators are responsible for the channels, roles, messages, streamers, cleanup choices, and other settings they configure. UniversalStreams requires certain Discord permissions to perform requested actions. Features may fail if permissions are missing, changed, or denied by Discord.

You are responsible for ensuring that role mentions, custom notification text, and other configured content comply with your server rules and applicable third-party policies.

6. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an as-available basis. Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed at any time, including because of maintenance, security concerns, abuse prevention, technical limitations, platform API changes, or third-party outages.

No guarantee is made that UniversalStreams will be uninterrupted, error-free, or able to detect every stream status change immediately. Third-party APIs, network delays, Discord outages, streaming-platform outages, and similar events may affect notifications.

7. Suspension and termination

Access to UniversalStreams may be restricted, suspended, or terminated for abuse, security risks, violations of these Terms, excessive disruption, legal requirements, or conduct that threatens the Service or other users.

You may stop using the Service at any time by removing its configurations and/or removing the bot from your Discord server.

8. Intellectual property

UniversalStreams, including its original branding, code, documentation, and service materials, remains the property of its respective owner or licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service or grant rights beyond those necessary for ordinary permitted use.

Third-party names, logos, trademarks, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UniversalStreams is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, statutory rights, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of UniversalStreams will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service, including missed notifications, delayed notifications, deleted or changed bot messages, third-party outages, configuration errors, or loss of data.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer-protection law.

11. Privacy

Use of UniversalStreams is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains what data may be processed, the Service's processing practices and its primary hosting in France and/or Finland.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer, mandatory statutory rules on jurisdiction remain unaffected. Where a valid choice of venue is legally permitted, jurisdiction is determined by the applicable statutory rules in Germany.

13. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when the Service, applicable law, hosting arrangements, or third-party platform requirements change. The updated version will be published on this website with a revised effective or last-updated date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
